Kachumber
Tomato, Cucumber, and Onion Relish
Healthy, scrumptious with daal chawal,
Bhuna gosht, kbab
- Makes 2 cups (500 g)
- ½ small red onion, diced and soaked in cold water for 5 minutes
- 2 tomatoes, seeded and diced
- 1 large cucumber, peeled, halved, seeded, and diced
- ¼ cup (4 g) finely chopped mint leaves.
- ½ bird’s eye chile, finely chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
Drain the onion and place it in a medium bowl. Add the tomatoes,
cucumber, mint and chile, and mix well. Season with salt and
sprinkle with the lemon juice. Serve immediately.
