Cleanser
heavenly mild n milky
You will notice that the different cleansers have different textures and consistencies. Some will be a tad
runnier, others firmer, and some that I call a “cleansing paste.” I love cleansing pastes. They are easy to use,
easy to store, and work wonders. Do remember when washing your face it should always be pre-moistened
with warm water. I cannot stress enough the importance of cleansing with warm, not hot, water for proper
skin health. With a paste it is even more important to make sure your skin is moistened, and you will add a
few drops of water to the paste to loosen it until it spreads easily in your palms, then you can smoothly
apply it to the face.
Almond cleanser

YIELD: ABOUT 4 OUNCES
TIME: 15 MINUTES NOT INCLUDING TIME TO MAKE THE TEA
GOOD FOR: DRY SKIN, DULL SKIN
The almonds in this cleanser are rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids,
which restore moisture. By using ground almonds, not only do you receive all
the beneficial properties of the almond, but also they act as a mild exfoliate.
Recipe
⅛ cup licorice tea, prepared and cooled
¼ cup finely ground almonds
1 tablespoon goat milk or soymilk
½ tablespoon molasses
1. Add all ingredients to a mini chop or blender and blend well. You can use whole almonds and grind
them first, then add the rest of the ingredients, and blend again.
2. Transfer to a small airtight container.
To use
Wash your face with a dime-size amount of cleanser. Rinse completely.
Storage: Store in the refrigerator for 10 days to 2 weeks. You can also make a larger batch and freeze
for later use. Fill an ice cube tray with a dollop of the product in each space and thaw one cube in the
refrigerator or on the countertop as needed.
USE: Daily, morning and night
ALLERGY ADJUSTMENT
If you have a nut allergy, replace the ground almonds with hemp flour.
